CSA

Canadian Standards Association is a nonprofitable organization that develops and publishes standards for business, industry, government and consumers in Canada.

DLC Listed

Design Lights Consortium is a voluntary certification initiative for LED technology. DLC approved products are tested and comply with specified performance and energy efficiency standards in the categories of distribution, color and longevity/stress.

Energy Star

Energy Star is a government program that helps us all practice and select energy efficient products to save money and protect the environment from greenhouse gas emissions.

ETL Listed

ETL is a testing and certifying organization in Canada by the Standards Council of Canada. Products certified by ETL have met the minimim requirements prescribed for product safety standards.

RoHs

Restriction of Hazardous Substances aims to restrict dangerous substances commonly used in electronics. RoHS compliant is tested for presence of Lead, Cadmium,Mercury,Hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated biphenyls, and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers.

UL Standard

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is an independant nonprofit organization that writes and tests products for safety and certification. To establish certification, manufacturers are required to submit samples of a product to be tested and evaluated by UL.
